Finance and Investment Lifelong Learning Sub-committee – member

Application closing date: 19 May

We would love to have you join us! We are particularly looking for someone who is interested in the latest developments in the finance and investment industry.

The finance and investment practice area’s lifelong learning committee is instrumental in developing a strong learning strategy along the whole spectrum. From technical and regulatory content, to personal, professional, and career development, to frontline areas of debate and discussion.

As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to curate the topics and source great speakers for our learning programme. Our meetings are online. We are able to source speakers both nationally and internationally.

The lifelong learning programme is delivered both via webinars and in-person events and conferences. It is supported by the IFoA’s events, marketing, and communities engagement teams.

  • have a willingness to work with other committee members to pull together an engaging series of events – both in person and online – to ensure fellow finance and investment professionals have access to the CPD they need to perform their roles
  • are able to publish and promote events on personal social media accounts and join the conversation on one of the IFoA’s social media posts and IFoA communities
  • have an interest in new domains as actuaries diversify into new areas of work

Time commitment

The time commitment on average is one day per month. This may be more or less during different times of the year depending on the scheduling of the portfolio of events.
