About us

The purpose of Glasgow Actuarial Students' Society (GASS) is simply to act as a network for actuarial students and qualified actuaries within Glasgow to meet and share ideas. This comes in the form of educational talks and informal social events.

Who's Who in the Society

  • President: Eilidh Robertson, Isio
  • Secretary: Liam Dillon, Isio
  • Treasurer: Matthew Brown, Mercer

Meetings and events

The society runs a series of talks and social events within the Glasgow area. Student members, qualified actuaries, and non-members of the society are very welcome to attend.

We hope these talks provide our members with useful insight into the professional landscape and provide them with helpful tools and advice for them to excel in their careers. The social events are a great way to build your network within the profession and are always something to look forward to.

GASS also hosts joint talks and socials with the Faculty of Actuaries Students’ Society (FASS) which is Edinburgh-based. Membership with either society gives you access to these events.
