By train

The office is between Haymarket and Waverley stations. The walk is around 20 minutes from Waverley or 15 minutes from Haymarket.

By coach

Long distance coaches, and coaches from other parts of Scotland, stop at Haymarket or Shandwick Place/Princes Street. Please check with the driver.

From Edinburgh Airport

For visitors arriving at Edinburgh Airport, the journey from the airport to Exchange Crescent can be made by tram or bus.

By tram, the journey takes approximately 25 minutes and the nearest tram stop to the IFoA's office is West End - Princes Street.

The Airlink Express bus service (Service 100) runs every 10 minutes to and from the city centre and takes approximately 25 minutes, but can take longer during peak travel times. The nearest bus stop is West End.

A taxi from the airport to Exchange Crescent takes about 20 minutes (allow extra time at peak periods.)
