By train

The office is a 15-minute walk from Haymarket station and a 25-minute walk from Waverley station.  

By coach

Long distance coaches, and coaches from other parts of Scotland, stop at Haymarket or Shandwick Place/Princes Street. Please check with the driver.

From Edinburgh Airport

For visitors arriving at Edinburgh Airport, the journey from the airport to Lochrin Square can be made by tram or bus.

By tram, the journey takes approximately 40 minutes and the nearest tram stop to the IFoA's office is Haymarket.  

The Airlink Express bus service (Service 100) runs every 10 minutes to and from the city centre and takes approximately 40 minutes, but can take longer during peak travel times. The nearest bus stop is Haymarket station.

A taxi from the airport to Lochrin Square takes about 20 minutes (allow extra time at peak periods).
