When booking exams for April 2026, candidates will be asked to select their preferred exam centre location(s) immediately after their exam booking and payment is confirmed.
Completing an exam location preference form
There will be a link to an Exam location preference form included in candidates’ exam booking confirmation email.
If candidates book and pay for their exams on the member portal, they can also access the Exam location preference form from the member portal exam booking confirmation page.
- Candidates can select up to three preferences of exam centre location. Please do not select one exam centre multiple times.
- A full list of exam centre locations can be found on the following web pages:
- Once candidates have selected the country where they wish to sit their exams, they will be able to select exam centre locations from a dropdown list.
- If there are no suitable exam centre locations, candidates can also request to sit remotely, online.
- The preferences candidates select will be applied to all exams they have booked for April 2026. This means they only need to complete the form once.
- If, for any reason, candidates do not want us to apply their selected preferences to all of their exams, they will have the opportunity to notify us using the form.
All exam location preference forms should be submitted before the final submission deadline at 09:00 GMT (UTC) Monday 16 February.
If candidates do not submit their preferences by this deadline, we will allocate an exam centre based on the preferred communication address we hold for them.
Changing exam location preferences
If candidates need to change their preferences after submitting their form, they can complete and submit a new form.
Re-submissions must also be submitted before the final submission deadline at 09:00 GMT (UTC) Monday 16 February.
Allocating exam location
Exam centre capacities are limited by location and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. To increase the likelihood of receiving their preference, candidates should book as early as possible in the exam booking period.
We will allocate candidates to one of their three preferred options where-ever possible.
If we are unable to allocate candidates to one of their three preferred exam centres, we will allocate them to the next nearest location in the same country or to remote invigilation.
We will confirm exam location allocation(s) by email during the week of the 23 February 2026.
Change requests
- If we cannot offer a candidate any of their preferred exam location options, they will have the opportunity to submit a change request or request a full refund.
- If a candidate is allocated to one of their preferred options, they will not be eligible to make a change request.
- If we have not been able to offer a candidate any of their preferred options, we will share a link to a change request form in their exam allocation confirmation email.
- Candidates can use the change request form to select alternative exam locations, to sit under remote invigilation or cancel their exam(s) and request a refund.
- Candidates will be offered the option to choose alternative exam locations for all exams, or they can select individual or multiple exams to request a change of exam location allocation.
- Candidates will also be able to select individual or multiple exams for cancellation.
- If a candidate chooses to cancel their exam we will process their exam refund automatically. They will receive a full refund.
The change request form submission deadline is 09:00 GMT (UTC) on 3 March 2026.
