Would you like to be part of the IFoA Practising Certificates Committee?
The committee’s current chair, Karen Butroid, is seeking to appoint three IFoA Fellows to volunteer for its Lloyd’s panel.
The committee has been privileged to have had strong volunteers in this role. It’s now looking to add new members to the panel to consider applications for Lloyd’s Syndicates practising certificates.
Karen is keen to hear from any qualified members of the IFoA who would like to discuss this role and find out more about what is involved. Expressions of interest are encouraged from Fellows with:
Practising Certificates Scheme (PDF, 130 KB)
Practising Certificates: Handbook (PDF, 800 KB)
Practising Certificates Committee terms of reference (PDF, 75 KB)
Contributions are mainly carried out online. The time commitment is about one to two hours per month on average, though it might be more in the latter half of the year.
There are also up to two full committee review meetings each year. Participation in these meetings will be by videoconference to ensure location is not a barrier. There is no requirement for all members of the committee to meet in one place.
If you are interested in this role and would like an informal conversation before applying, please email us at engagement.team@actuaries.org.uk.
