Application closing date: 24 August
The IFoA is seeking to appoint an IFoA member to the role of Deputy Chair(s) of the GIRTL Research Sub-committee. The group helps shape and drive forward research in the GI practice area in line with the IFoA’s policy priority themes for the future. If you enjoy research and work in this practice area, please consider volunteering to join this sub-committee as a committee member.
As the current Chair is due to step off the Committee in July 2026, and given the number of working parties and other projects, such as the Brian Hey Award, currently supported by this Committee, we intend to recruit two Deputy Chairs at this time. One of these will step up in July 2026 to the Chair role, and the other will retain the Deputy Chair role and step up in due course in July 2028.
For more information on the role, please see the task and person specification (PDF, 164 KB).
To read more about the sub-committee, see its terms of reference (PDF, 127 KB).
The time commitment varies but should not be more than a maximum of 8-10 hours per month. The sub-committee will consist of short monthly check in meetings and longer quarterly meetings.
