Application closing date: 22 February
The IFoA is seeking to appoint a Deputy Chair and members to the newly formed Fiduciary Duty Working Party. We would welcome applications from both IFoA members and suitably experienced non-members.
The research aims to explore the interpretation and application of fiduciary duty for UK pension scheme investments. This will include producing an overview of the topic and recent developments, in addition to practical examples of market practice to share with wider members. The working party will also inform the IFoA’s response to any statutory guidance the UK government develops.
We are keen to hear from actuaries and other professionals working in asset owners as well as investment consultants with an interest in the topic. We would also welcome applications from pension trustees, in addition to legal professionals with experience advising pension scheme trustees on fiduciary duty.
The time commitment varies but will not be more than a maximum of 3 hours per month. The frequency of meetings will be agreed with volunteers once the working party has launched.
