The long-awaited general code has been published by The Pensions Regulator. So what does this mean for pension schemes in practice?

Jenny is head of Pensions Governance Consulting at WTW. She is a qualified actuary and has supported pensions clients for over 20 years. She leads a team of governance experts and practitioners to support clients across all areas of governance, board effectiveness and risk management. This includes a wide range of projects such as:

  • delivering governance and board effectiveness reviews across operational and behavioural aspects of improving performance, efficiency, enjoyment and outcomes
  • supporting schemes to get ready for the changes entailed by The Pension Regulator’s general code, including conducting gap analyses and working with the client to fill policy, practice, and strategy gaps
  • helping clients to review their risk management approach, including risk registers, dashboards, and tools, risk management frameworks and policies, and risk system maturity and controls effectiveness reviews

Michele has over 30 years in the pensions industry, the last 12 of which include trusteeship. Michele is an accredited professional trustee with broad expertise across the size spectrum.

She also specialises in executive pension management working on multi-billion-pound schemes running a specialist in house team including a PASA accredited administration, finance and investment, and governance functions.

Working across the range of disciplines and the full-size spectrum of schemes means she is ideally placed to ensure she can add high value in all aspects of trusteeship.
