There has much discussion around the world in the last few months, in various forums and in the media, about the use of generative AI. Some see clear opportunities for its use as a controllable tool across different professions. Others see major potential legal, reputational, and societal risks associated with it, particularly in the case of corporate reporting.

Please join us for a lively debate on this topic with Claire Bodanis and Zhixin Lim. Claire Bodanis is Director of Falcon Windsor Ltd. She is a corporate reporting and communications specialist and author of ‘Trust me, I’m listed’. Zhixin Lim is Actuarial Head of Projects at HSBC. He has a passion for AI and tech and recently published the article ‘master the genie’ in The Actuary magazine. The webinar will be chaired by Richard Galbraith, Director of ERM at Canada Life. Richard is an actuary and an executive coach.

Featured Speakers

Claire is one of the UK’s leading authorities on corporate reporting. She is the founder and director of Falcon Windsor, a specialist reporting and communications advisory company (falconwindsor.com). FW is a team of senior reporting and communications specialists. They advise clients, mostly global PLC, on every aspect of reporting, with the exception of financial statements.

What sets FW apart is Claire’s philosophy. She says it is only by understanding why we are required to report that we can navigate the complexities of regulation and do it well. This philosophy meant Claire was asked by the UK Chartered Governance Institute to write the standard work on reporting.

‘Trust me, I’m listed – why the annual report matters and how to do it well’, was published (second edition) in October 2021 (trustmeimlisted.com). Sir Donald Brydon wrote the book’s foreword and it has contributions from experts across the reporting world.

In November 2022, Claire was invited by King Charles to Buckingham Palace to recognise Falcon Windsor’s contribution as a small business to the UK economy.

Claire came to corporate reporting by way of four years and two degrees at Cambridge University. She has edited mediaeval texts and honed a love of language and knack for translating incomprehensible jargon into modern, clear English.

She is the co-author of three books with the Dark Angels Collective. That includes ‘On Writing’, to which she contributed a chapter on corporate reporting, published in 2019. She is an associate partner of Dark Angels, a global network of trainers and writers whose philosophy is that business writing should be more human.

Zhixin Lim is the Actuarial Head of Projects at HSBC Insurance. He writes about technology and business on his personal blog Odds&Ends.
