We are currently recruiting an Accounts Officer for a six month fixed term contract.
This role is hybrid, both working from home and in our Oxford hub.

Colleagues are able to work their hours flexibly, in line with core business hours and requirements. We also offer formalised flexible working agreements.
The starting salary is £29,450.

To assist the accounts manager with ensuring all financial records for the assigned subsidiary and related party accounts are accurate, clear and produced to the agreed schedule on a monthly basis so they can be used to prepare monthly financial reports and final year end accounts.
The IFoA has an annual turnover of approximately £30m per annum. The post holder will be part of team that processes that income and associated expenditure.
Will have both internal (staff and budget holders) and external contacts (members and external and internal auditors).
Has impact on the work of own team or processes. Likely to have impact on the work of other teams or processes.
Likely to have very varied tasks and will be required to exercise initiative occasionally using procedures and precedents to provide guidance. Most problems encountered will have been experienced before.
Prioritising day to day tasks to meet demands.
Has delegated authority to take decisions within clear established guidelines and accounting procedures which will be reviewed by a manager at a later date To follow the professions accounting policies and procedures at all times. To bring deviations to the notice of Accounts Manager.
Decisions will usually have a relatively short time horizon.
The post holder may be required to make occasional visits to other IFoA sites or third parties as required to perform their duties. This may require overnight stays.
The role holder must be an ambassador for and demonstrate the IFoA Values in all aspects of their work.
