Building a more inclusive future

Join us for our International Women’s Day event celebrating women actuaries and accelerating equality across the profession. Led by the Women Actuaries Committee, this session will shine a light on the data, the lived experiences, and the practical steps that turn good intent into measurable impact. It will be a session to celebrate achievements to date while acknowledging where improvement is still needed.

The Women Actuaries Committee will highlight their ongoing work to understand gender imbalances, exploring the underlying challenges and potential suggestions to close the gap. We will hear about their broader objectives as well as some recent analysis on gender equality in the profession.

There will also be an opportunity to hear directly from actuaries who have used their expertise and platform to drive change, including Alexandra Miles on contributing to the profession and system equality, and Masimba Zata on the IFoA Foundation, illustrating how contribution advances both the profession and equality.

Centred on the International Women’s Day theme, ‘Give to Gain’, you will be able to find out more about volunteering, mentoring and wider networking opportunities, while connecting with your peers at this event to help us build a more inclusive future.
