Application closing date: 29 June
The IFoA is seeking to appoint both members and suitably experienced non-members to join the newly formed Life Insurance Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Working Party.
The working party will aim to explore current use of AI and automation across the full range of work carried out by life actuaries. It will do this by investigating both emerging best practice and longer-term changes driven by new technology.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with visionary mindsets who are passionate about technology and its transformative potential.
We would particularly welcome volunteers who have experience in the automation of processes (including the use of Python) and in the application of AI techniques (including machine learning, predictive modelling and generative AI) within their practice area, from pricing/product design to assumption setting/reserving and capital management.
The time commitment will vary but will not be more than a maximum of five hours per month. The working party will consist of monthly meetings lasting around one hour with more regular meetings as required. Meetings will be held via video conferencing and will be arranged at a mutually convenient time for all involved. There is no requirement to meet in person.
