IFoA Foundation – volunteer fundraisers

The IFoA Foundation is the registered charity of the IFoA, working with the global actuarial community for positive social impact.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic volunteer fundraisers who will ideally have an excellent network of contacts, be keen to build on the foundations already created and have a passion to help shape and drive forward the IFoA Foundation for the future. 

We welcome applications from IFoA members of all membership grades including students and from any interested non IFoA members.

The IFoA Foundation supports:

  • Scholarships, grants, mentoring and prizes
  • Education and research in actuarial science and related subjects
  • Mathematics education, financial education and early career outreach
  • Widening access and opportunity within the actuarial profession

Purpose of the role

Volunteer fundraisers will support the IFoA Foundation’s mission by contributing to fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and events activity as a member of its Fundraising and Events Subcommittee, which reports to the Board of Trustees.

The role is advisory and delivery focused, helping the IFoA Foundation to:

  • Grow sustainable funding
  • Strengthen engagement with supporters
  • Deliver high quality fundraising events aligned to its charitable purpose

Time commitment

The time commitment varies and will typically be between 2 to 6 hours per month, with occasional additional time around events or campaigns.
