AI, Data Science and Emerging Technologies (AIDSET) Research Sub-committee – members

Application closing date: 25 January 2026

Reporting to the AI, Data Science and Emerging Technologies Practice Board Chair of Research or Emerging Technology, the IFoA is seeking to appoint experienced, proactive and innovative volunteers with a keen interest in emerging technologies to join the new AIDSET Research Sub-Committee. Both IFoA members and suitably experienced non-members are welcome to apply.

The sub-committee will help to shape and drive forward research, if you enjoy research and working with emerging technologies.

Time commitment

The time commitment varies but will not be more than a maximum of 15 hours per month. The sub-committee will consist of quarterly meetings. On occasion there will be informal monthly meetings as required.

The AIDSET Research Sub-committee is committed to promoting diversity and equal opportunity for all members.  Participation in meetings can be by videoconference/conference call, to ensure location is not a barrier.
