About the awards

More than 3,000 volunteers around the world give their time and expertise to the IFoA.

Their input helps make sure the actuarial profession remains sustainable, influential and sought after, both as a career and as a source of insight. They are an invaluable part of our work and of the wider actuarial community.

In February 2026 we held the inaugural ceremony for a new annual celebration of our volunteers, as part of which we recognise outstanding contributions. We look forward to recognising more volunteers in the next edition of the awards.

Recognition

There were four award categories in 2026:

  • Team Excellence Award: For a group of volunteers who have worked exceptionally well together on a project.
