Future skills needs are presenting new opportunities for businesses and the people that work in them.

In response to member feedback the IFoA is hosting a one-day event consisting of three workshops for members to focus on preparing for their future and the business skills needed for personal growth and team success.

This event has been designed so you can:

  • Focus on elements of your career: particularly strengths and skills you would like to build on for the future
  • Be confident what internal and external stakeholders say about you when you are not in the room
  • Learn practical steps on how to make a difference to your personal impact in the workplace.

What will you learn?

During the practical and engaging workshops, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Focus on proactive career development with a structured framework for considering future career directions and considering what skills are needed for the future.
  • Futureproof your career by considering what skills will be in demand in the future and how this maps, with the career directions you are considering.
  • Focus on developing your core listening skills using powerful questions to support colleagues to consider the possibilities and what they really want and need from their career.
  • Consider how industry trends and the evolution of the industry, aligns with your career aspirations.
  • Mind map different career paths and ways to develop your skills.
