In today’s competitive and uncertain market, being aware of business development could be really helpful. As a consulting actuary in particular, business development is an essential activity to be involved in, to progress your career and contribute to the success of your company or firm.
It can feel challenging when business development isn’t part of formal training and is usually something more senior people get involved in. This then causes challenges when people want to progress, as they have no or limited experience of doing business development, yet it is a common expectation at senior levels.
In this session, Joanna Gaudoin will walk you through her framework: 'The 5 Ps of Proactive Business Development' to help you understand how a structured approach can help you. She will provide practical guidance and advice, so you can consider how you can get started with business development or get better outcomes from your current activity.
