The business of the AGM

At each AGM, members are invited to receive and consider the annual report of the IFoA, along with the financial statements for the past financial period. The report and financial statements will be made available on our website ahead of the AGM on our annual reports page. We welcome questions about them both before and at the meeting – see below for further details.

The results of our 2023 Council elections will be announced at the AGM. The outgoing President of Council, Matt Saker, will be invited to speak, and Kalpana Shah will be formally installed as our President for the 2023/24 session.

The results of two annual member votes will also be announced at the AGM:

  • To appoint auditors for the forthcoming year
  • To authorise Council to set the auditors’ remuneration

Those members who are eligible to vote on these matters will be contacted separately in due course with full details.

The formal notice of the AGM can be viewed on our AGM page.
