Application closing date: 29 June
The IFoA is seeking to appoint 6 experienced actuarial academics and educators to join its new Accreditation Panel.
The IFoA accreditation process plays a vital role in assuring the quality and consistency of actuarial higher education worldwide, with more than 75 degree programmes across 53 universities currently accredited.
Accreditation helps ensure that university programmes meet the IFoA’s quality standards, provide students with the knowledge and skills required for actuarial practice, and maintain appropriate equivalence in curriculum content and assessment for exemption purposes.
We are seeking experienced individuals who are passionate about actuarial education and keen to contribute their expertise beyond their own institution, helping to promote best practice, support continuous improvement across universities in the UK and internationally, and maintain confidence in accredited routes into the profession.

Panel members will typically review 2 to 3 accreditation applications and contribute to 1 to 2 accreditation visits each year, assessing programmes against IFoA accreditation criteria and making recommendations on accreditation outcomes.
Members will also attend an annual Accreditation Panel meeting (usually in October). The role is expected to require approximately 3 to 6 days per year, depending on the number and complexity of applications and visits undertaken.
