The session focuses on the current UK cyber insurance covers and market, outlines the key challenges, and analyses reserving methodologies to address them. It discusses different risk mitigation strategies that can help minimise cyber risk exposure, which could, in turn, reduce reserve uncertainty.

Lynette is a Director within Grant Thornton’s actuarial and insurance consulting practice, and she specialises in the general insurance sector. Lynette is a Fellow of the IFoA.

Shamsul is an Assistant Manager within Grant Thornton UK’s actuarial and risk team. Shamsul is a nearly-qualified actuary specialising in general insurance.

Shamsul is a student member of the IFoA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the City University of London.
