IFoA Council Elections

The results of the 2023 Council elections were announced at the IFoA's AGM on Wednesday 6 September 2023.

General Constituency

The retirees from the General constituency at the end of the 2022/23 sessional year are:

  • Cherry Chan
  • Michelle Darracott
  • Jennifer Hartley
  • Mukami Njeru
  • Louise Pryor
  • Danny Quant
  • Peter Tompkins

The following additional vacancies in the General constituency arose during the year:

  • Nick Spencer resigned from Council in June 2023

There were eight vacant General constituency seats in this year's election, and 18 candidates stood for election. The following were elected:

  • Nico Aspinall
  • Cherry Chan
  • Matthew Edwards
  • Richard Galbraith
  • Janet Moss
  • Mukami Njeru
  • Katie Sokolowski
  • Peter Tompkins

Scottish Constituency

The retirees from the Scottish constituency at the end of the 2022/23 sessional year are:

  • Dermot Grenham
  • Sarah Neil
  • Craig Ritchie

There were four vacant Scottish constituency seats in this year's election and six candidates stood for election. The following are elected:

  • Simon Jones
  • Melanie Puri
  • Alan Rae
  • Sandy Trust
