We run sittings for the CB3 online exam throughout the year. Please see the online exam booking service or the application form for the CB3 dates that are currently available to book.
To book your CB3 online exam, please log in to your ‘My Account’ area of the IFoA website or complete the CB3 online exam application form in the resources section below and return to our Member Services team at memberservices@actuaries.org.uk.

All examinations will run in UK time with start times varying between 07:00 and 10:00. Including those delivered on the new exam system.
You will be able to see your exam start time during our online exam booking process.
Your joining instructions will be available 2 weeks before the start of the exam session on your ‘My Account’ area of the IFoA website.
Your exam results will be available to download from your ‘My Account’ area of the IFoA website.
Your exam result breakdown will be available within 24 hours of the results being released.

We have taken the decision to delay the introduction of the new exam system until it is ready to support our exams and our candidates.
This means that we will deliver all IFoA exams on our current platform in their traditional format in April 2024. This includes CB1 and CB2, which were due to launch in their objective based assessment (OBA) format in April.
Our April 2024 exam dates remain the same and we no longer need to hold contingency dates for any exams.

If you would like to book onto an IFoA exam, other than CS1 or CM1, you will need to be a member of the IFoA.
If you are not currently a member of the IFoA, but you would like to book an exam, please make sure you apply to join the IFoA or that you reinstate your lapsed IFoA membership at least 3 weeks before exam booking opens.
