If you are planning on booking an exam, please check that you have met your Personal and Professional Development (PPD) requirements.
You need to record a minimum amount of PPD credits and formal learning hours each year, in order to book IFoA exams.
You can review, record and edit your current PPD record by logging in to your online account.
If you have not fulfilled your PPD requirements, you won't be able to book exams. So, please make sure your PPD is up-to-date, or you request a PPD exemption in plenty of time before exam booking opens.
Don't worry if you have missed your PPD deadline, find out what you need to do on our missed PPD deadline web page.
If you've been a member for more than 6 years and are planning on booking exams, please make sure that you've completed or are booked onto our Stage 2 online professionalism course (or our previous Professional Skills Course).
You can book the Stage 2 online professionalism course in the My exams section of your online account.
If you joined the IFoA after 1 March 2012 and have not completed our Stage 1 professionalism course (or our previous Online Professional Awareness Training), you will need to complete our Stage 1 course before booking on to our Stage 2 course.
You can find exam dates and exam booking dates on our exam dates web page.
For information on how to book your exam please visit our book your exams web page.
