The IFoA is seeking to appoint a Deputy Chair and members to the newly formed Sustainable Investment Working Party. We would welcome applications from both IFoA members and suitably experienced non-members.
This working party aims to address the growing need for investment professionals to understand how sustainability factors and portfolio sustainability targets influence investment characteristics, including portfolio and individual asset performance, and the corresponding investment strategy and portfolio construction steps that could result. It will examine how evolving sustainability risks and opportunities affect different asset classes, investment strategies, and market structures.
We are keen to hear from actuaries and other professionals working in asset owners as well as investment consultants with an interest in the topic.

Time commitment
The time commitment varies but will not be more than a maximum of 3 hours per month. The frequency of meetings will be agreed with volunteers once the working party has launched.
