Candidates sitting remotely invigilated examinations from the September 2026 session will see an updated ‘Test It Out’ pre-examination readiness check. This enhanced process includes a new system check, additional guidance materials, and an instructional video.
Please note:
- The video contains references to mobile phones being permitted on the desk and to live proctoring. These statements do not apply to IFoA examinations.
- In accordance with our IFoA Assessment Regulations and our Exam SMART Technology Policy if you have a mobile phone in the room during your examination, it must be placed out of reach at all times, unless you require it for medical reasons and have an approved access arrangement.
- IFoA exams are not live proctored. Instead, your exam session is recorded and reviewed after the examination has taken place.
Candidates must always follow the latest IFoA regulations and policies, which take precedence over any information contained within the video.
