Building a resilient Scotland ahead of 2026 Scottish election

14 April 2026

Ahead of the Holyrood elections in May 2026, the IFoA have developed a policy prospectus, in conjunction with the Scottish Board, which suggests ways in which government and civil society can take an alternative approach to ensure a longer-term horizon is considered in the policymaking process.

The IFoA have also provided short summaries of the main parties’ manifestos, relevant to the work of actuaries.
