Infrastructure

Explore our briefings, roundtables, and consultation responses on UK infrastructure

There is a significant backlog of infrastructure projects in the UK. The level of investment by institutions like pension funds and insurers is less than what the country needs to drive long term growth and job creation.

The IFoA has the expertise to explore the reasons for this and to propose solutions.

With our infrastructure work we also:

  • engage with other important themes including resilience
  • explore how decision-making can take account of social and environmental factors, not just costs
  • engage with our key stakeholders such as the UK Infrastructure Bank and the National Infrastructure Commission

Explore our infrastructure outputs below, which cover the core topics of resilience, finance and investment, and risk. They include policy briefings, roundtable events, blog posts, and responses to government consultations.
