Key findings from the pension scheme thematic review

Thu 03 Jul 2025 -
09:00 - 10:00 (BST)

To support the publication of the IFoA’s thematic review report ‘Pension scheme design: actuarial advice on changes to member benefits’, we are hosting a webinar to explore the key findings. Join the report’s author David Gordon, IFoA Senior Review Actuary, who will discuss this important area of pensions advice, which directly impacts the members of UK pension schemes. He will be joined by IFoA Review Actuary Alan Marshall and IFoA Regulatory Board Chair Neil Buckley.

The IFoA carries out regular thematic reviews of how work is carried out in practice by actuaries. This report provides a helpful overview on both the activity of actuaries in relation to this high-profile risk, and the latest developments around the world as firms, regulators and governments work to mitigate potential harms.
