IFoA Foundation

The IFoA Foundation is the charity of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, working with the global actuarial community for positive social impact.

Hundreds of young people around the world have limited opportunities or experience financial challenges. Through actuarial education, they are seeking to create a better future for themselves, their families, and communities.

The IFoA Foundation is already helping some of them with grants, scholarships, mentoring, and connections. But this is just the beginning. We are actively fundraising to enable more promising individuals to fulfil their potential in our profession.

Thanks to generous support from the IFoA, 100% of all donations go directly to projects encouraging young mathematicians and changing the career trajectory of aspiring actuaries worldwide.

We hope you will be moved to join our efforts to empower and uplift others.

Please support our mission and make a donation today via Just Giving.

Objectives

We have 3 objectives: supporting our community, rewarding excellence, and addressing future challenges.

1. Supporting our community

Giving support and opportunity to actuaries and future actuaries from all backgrounds and across the globe.

2. Rewarding excellence

Providing recognition, prizes, and awards for excellence in actuarial exams and academic research.

3. Addressing future challenges

Providing opportunities and role models to young people and a future generation of actuaries through grassroots education projects. These projects encourage the study of maths and financial education.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion

The promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the actuarial profession underpins all our charitable activities.

“Supporting the IFoA Foundation is one way we demonstrate our commitment to diversifying the future actuarial workforce through education grants and mentoring programmes. This also forms an integral part of our CSR agenda. It enables us to connect with and raise the aspirations of school pupils struggling with maths on our doorstep in London. With the IFoA Foundation, we can help to make maths relevant, accessible, and fun.”

Jules Constantinou, Regional Manager, Gen Re Life UK
